PETG stands for Polyethylene terephthalate-1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol ester. PETG is an amorphous copolyester with high transparency, excellent thermoforming properties, easy processability, and compliance with food contact regulations. It is a modified PET amorphous copolyester obtained by partially replacing EG with CHDM. When the CHDM content is more than 50%, it is PCTG; when the CHDM content is less than 50%, it is PETG.
The product boasts high transparency, reaching approximately 90% light transmittance, and excels in applications requiring high transparency.
It can be blow molded, injection molded, and extruded by conventional plastic processing equipment.
This environmentally friendly plastic complies with food contact regulations and is non-toxic and harmless to humans and the environment.
