Green and Low-Carbon New Material

Ruian group focuses on fully biodegradable and bio-based new materials, such as PBAT and PBS, and is committed to balancing their degradation and application properties. We strictly adhere to green standards throughout the production process to reduce energy consumption and emissions. We have expanded these new materials which have excellent environmental performance into various fields, including packaging, agriculture, and healthcare.

PBAT

Polybutylene Adipate Co-Terephthalate

PBAT stands for Polybutylene Adipate Co-Terephthalate. It is a fully biodegradable synthetic polymer and a biodegradable thermoplastic. Simply put, it combines the excellent flexibility and biodegradability of PBA with the superior mechanical properties and heat resistance of PBT. Therefore, PBAT possesses the favorable properties of traditional plastics while ultimately being decomposed by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water in the natural environment, making it a key material in addressing "white pollution."

PBS

Polybutylene Succinate

PBS (Polybutylene Succinate) is a semi-crystalline aliphatic biodegradable polyester produced by the polycondensation of succinic acid and 1,4-butanediol. It offers excellent biodegradability, outstanding overall performance, diverse processing methods and a wide range of applications, making it one of the most promising green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly polymer materials. PBS is categorized as petroleum-based, semi-biobased, and fully biobased, depending on the source of its raw materials.

Customized Modified Material

Modification solutions for scientific formulas

The biodegradable modified materials are based on biodegradable polymers (such as PBAT, PBS, PLA, starch, etc.). By blending or compounding the biodegradable polymer with other materials (which can be another biodegradable polymer or a small amount of non-biodegradable but performance-improving additives) through physical or chemical method to improve its original performance.
